Otherwise known as the Wishbone Chair - due to the distinctive shape of the back-rest support - Wegner’s Wishbone Chair is one of the most famous icons of mid-century Danish design. The chair’s design is a masterpiece of stunning simplicity. Wegner created the Wishbone Chair in 1949 as the last of a series inspired by paintings of Danish merchants in Chinese Ming chairs.
